Can we find rest
for our wandering hearts,
to be satisfied
in playing our parts?
Or must we break bonds,
once firmly applied,
and seek out the stars;
put our limits aside?
Progress is progress
so long as it’s made,
but what of contentment
in this day-to-day?
We burst through the ceilings
and shatter divides,
all in the name
of a greener-grass side.
In all, there’s a balance
to the questions we make,
so long as there’s hope
while our lives are at stake.
