The sun is so warm
And the tulips in bloom,
But I’m stuck indoors
For the end-of-world gloom.
Spring pushes on,
Birds sing elation,
But I am inside,
In full isolation.
Summer is nearing,
The beaches are bare,
And I’m in my house,
Outside? Wouldn’t dare.
The weather is fine,
Not a cloud to be seen,
And I have no paper,
(for poops). It’s obscene!
A worldwide pandemic,
An earth-ending doom?
An apocalypse? Zombies?
No. Work meetings on Zoom.
