Blind as you are, society,
Can you not see
obvious injustice in
a world built on fertility?
Woman. Man. Some strange
designation for place,
when all each would want
is not for you to gauge.
Yet still we teach the youth
the shapers of new worlds,
that their place is there or here
in jobs and gender roles.
So now, let’s stand for choice
and love, and pursuing dreams.
Wife, mother,
husband, father, worker, lover,
fighter, seeker, or story writer.
Boy, girl, otherwise, let’s
give them each a voice,
because as I said, and say again,
in end, it is their choice.
