A sympathy wished,
an empathy missed.
We once sensed apathy,
but that distance drifts.
Evolved with time?
Such few, span of years,
where once we believed,
then learned more than fears.
Thoughts now amiss,
brains in ignorant bliss,
hearts beat to recall:
feel, kiss — all listless.
Evolved with the age?
Perhaps fallen from grace.
Anthropomorphic growth
becomes stumbling race.
